This blog is closed, for 8 months I used it to chart my daily progress fighting hepatitis C. I underwent 24 weeks of interferon and ribavirin treatment which has potentially all sorts of nasty side effects. I chose to use complementary therapies including TCM, acupuncture, vitamin and mushroom supplements, counselling massage and body brushing. These therapies were aimed at minimising and mitigating the side effects. As it turned out I was very lucky and minimal side effects.

Pack up your demons

Setting my demons to one side has certainly given me the space to get on with my life. Easter was definately a turning point for me, and since getting over my tantrum this whole treatment has become quite easy. With the exception of the dry skin and acne breakouts on my back I can honestly say that I have no physical side effects and now that the demons are in a box I have for the time being removed the emotional problems that caused me such greif.

I will one day face my demons, but the advice from Paul Wilcox that I can choose the time when I am ready to face them was well taken.

I am putting in very long days at work, I even had to forego my swim today. The level and complexity of work that I am doing at the moment has increased dramatically, suddenly taking another week for holiday seems a bad idea - not.
